Almost all of the House League teams will be playing on Saturday, so make sure you find your team on the schedule above, or ask your Coach to be sure. Please arrive at the field a minimum of 20 minutes prior to your game time. All age groups will play on both Saturday and Sunday, so check the schedule for your game times! As always, the Club will also host our annual House League barbecue on Sunday (September 10), throughout the day. All Olympic Flame House League players will receive a complimentary hamburger or hot dog and a drink. Hopefully we can all enjoy some nice weather (keep your fingers crossed!), the soccer and the barbecue!

Boys 2003 “Ares” tryout opportunity – September 7, 2017
With the summer season quickly coming to an end, Olympic Flame “Ares”, our boys 2003 team, is turning its attention to the upcoming U15 indoor season. After a great outdoor season, Olympic Flame “Ares” will once again be playing this winter in the extremely competitive Hangar indoor league in preparation for the 2018 outdoor season. “Ares” will be fielding two teams this winter, one in each of the 11v11 league and the 6v6 league to best prepare our boys for next summer. Olympic Flame “Ares” is stepping up its game, and we also plan on fielding two teams next summer, both a Tier 1 team and a Tier 2 team. While other 2003 boys programs are disappearing, we are expanding our program, and we have ambitious plans for 2018. As always, “Ares” is likely to be one of the few Scarborough teams to play all winter long in a high-caliber league, against some of the best teams in the GTA. Our commitment to preparing the boys for the 2018 summer outdoor season begins now. As “Ares” will be running two teams both this winter and next summer, we will be having open tryouts on the following dates: September 18 (Monday), September 19 (Tuesday), September 23 (Saturday), September 25 (Monday) and September 26 (Tuesday). We have already added several excellent new players to “Ares” for the winter season, and our Head Coach Andrew Male is looking for high-quality players to join both the 11v11 team and the 6v6 team to fill out the few remaining roster spots for the upcoming 2017-8 winter indoor roster. We are looking forward to regrouping and recharging the boys after a long and gruelling outdoor season, including league, cup, tournament and Ontario Cup play this past summer. If you are born in 2003 and would like to play with one of Scarborough’s perennial top teams this winter at the Hangar and next summer, please contact Head Coach Andrew Male (firstname.lastname@example.org), Assistant Coach Tom Tentoglou (416-721-5800 or email@example.com) or Manager Paul Gribilas (647-244-7285 or firstname.lastname@example.org) to find out more about our program and arrange for a tryout this September. You can also visit our team website at www.2003ares.com for more information. If you are looking to step up your training and improve the level of your game, then “Ares” is definitely for you. Don’t hesitate, or you might miss out on a great experience!
