CLUB HISTORY

Olympic Flame Soccer Club ("OFSC") was established in 1983 by John Papadakos, Thanasis Gribilas, Costas Zamanis and Chris Lambrou. In that year, OFSC became a member of the North York Soccer Association and fielded four teams. After several successful years in the North York Soccer Association, OFSC later became, and remains, a member of the Scarborough Soccer Association.

Since its inception, OFSC has performed proudly and has succeeded on local, provincial, national and international stages. Our competitive teams have won league championships, cup championships and tournaments, too numerous to mention. OFSC has been represented in tournaments around the world including throughout Canada, the United States, Greece and Italy.

In addition to our wonderful league and tournament accomplishments, perhaps OFSC's greatest successes have come on the provincial and national scene, being both past Ontario and Canadian Champions.

Today, OFSC offers a very successful house league system for children as young as 4 years old, dynamic grassroots and development programs for players from 7 - 12 years age, and elite competitive programs for players from 13 - 18 years of age.

After 40 years, in 2024 the Club embarked on a new chapter in its history and rebranded as Olympic Flame Football Club, also introducing a brand new logo to take us into the future.

Olympic Flame Football Club remains an active member of the Scarborough Soccer Association, Ontario Soccer and Canada Soccer and participates in the following leagues:

  • IModel
  • TO Soccer League (TOSL)
  • York Region Soccer League (YRSL)
  • Provincial Indoor Soccer League (PISL)
  • Greater Toronto Indoor Soccer League (GTISL)
  • Downsview Park Youth Indoor Soccer League (the Hangar)
  • York Region Indoor Soccer League (YRISL)

It is with great anticipation that we look into our future as we have many dedicated coaches and wonderfully talented athletes working their way up through the ranks. We can only wait and see who will bring us our next league, provincial and Canadian championship titles.
