It is will heavy hearts that we recognize the passing of our friend, Anastasios (Tom) Michalopoulos, on April 20, 2021. Tom was a treasured member and supporter of the Club for 30 years. He was a wonderful family man, and would often be seen on the soccer field in the summer, watching his grandchildren Taso and Theo play for the club. Tom was a very generous person, happily giving his support to countless causes and charities, both here and abroad. We were privileged to know Tom for 3 decades, and we were honoured to call him our friend. His love of soccer and youth sports are seen through his support and sponsorship of the Club for 30 years, which provided hundreds of children with the opportunity to learn and experience teamwork, discipline and fair play, which were qualities Tom displayed on a daily basis. We send our deepest condolences to Tom’s wife Tina, his children Maria (Mario) and Stathi (Lena), and his grandchildren Ethan, Tasos, Paulina, Taso and Theo. May he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal.
