TOM GRIBILAS SOCCER FIELD (formerly Ellesmere Park) has been the home to Olympic Flame house league soccer for over 25 years.  Generations of Olympic Flame players and their families have grown up together at Ellesmere Park.  And one of the constants over those 25 years was the presence of Olympic Flame Soccer Club co-founder and long-time president Tom Gribilas, who could be found at Ellesmere Park almost every day during the summer, coaching, cheering, supporting and encouraging the young players of Olympic Flame. Tom was the president of Olympic Flame for 33 years, and was a fixture not only at Olympic Flame, but in the greater soccer community in Scarborough, Toronto and Ontario.  Tom tirelessly volunteered his time for the sport, the Club and the kids that he loved. Sadly, Tom passed away in June 2018 after a lengthy illness.

Deputy Mayor Michael Thompson and his staff championed the official renaming of Ellesmere Park in honour and memory of Tom and the wonderful volunteer work he contributed to the youth of Scarborough.  Olympic Flame Soccer Club is extremely proud that the City of Toronto has honoured Tom Gribilas so that his contributions to the City of Toronto, Olympic Flame Soccer Club, the soccer community of Scarborough and the community at large will always be remembered.

Olympic Flame Soccer Club welcome all players, families and guests to the new TOM GRIBILAS SOCCER FIELD!
